My name is Justin
Today i had a customer with a Peugeot 307 HDI 1.6 year 2005
The ECU type was 9HY Bosch EDC16c34 i took, in the menu of the V30, 9HY Bosch EDC16c3 EURO 4 read the ecu some faults detected and show me some funny signs that meant nothing so i clear the ECU did well and reading the ECU again and no faults detected.
Then i was trying to read the ABS/ESP, BSI etc.
The V30 couldnt connect to the ECU.
Do i have to use in the menu of the V30 peugeot 307 CAN ? There is only a petrol model but do i have to use this menu for reading ABS, BSI etc with the "citroen 16" connector to read these modes?
Im asking this for sure that i dont mess up my V30
hi justin, i have connected to various petrol & diesel 307 models abs, engine, airbag etc. using the 307van option in the menu but they may have been earlier models. although we find that peugeots & renaults tend to be a bit funny with the v30 at the moment & i know that autoboss are working to ammend the software for these vehicles, Andrew would be the man to ask on here.
if it is can the engine codes would have been wrong , so you need to find out if the car is can and re - read engine if it is
9HY Bosch EDC16c34 ecu , internet search seams to come up as a CAN ecu type ? , but please check with andrew at autoboss. first rule of interweb "3/4 of what you read is b*******s" the other 1/4 is debatable!!
Thanks for the answers so far will try to take an other model in the V30 with the CAN mode and try the citroen 16 connector
If its works i will put here the answer/solution
ps. it is the new model of the 307
regards Justin
Up until about 2005 PSA used a VAN (Vehicle Area Network) multiplex system, they then switched to CAN. The 307,s that have the DLC in the centre rather than the drivers side are CAN.
As Davy mentioned we have Autoboss engineers coming to Europe next month with a lot of PSA and Renault software pre-written for testing thanks to the use of data from SPX,s database, this should fill any gaps in the software very quickly.
