Q:  Who are AUTOBOSS?

A:  AUTOBOSS Tech Inc were founded in 1999 in Shenzhen China, and have rapidly grown to become a global player in the automotive aftermarket.

Q:  Who are SPX?

A:  SPX are a global multi industry fortune 500 company composed of numerous businesses that serve three primary end markets:

  • Global infrastructure, with an emphasis on power and energy

  • Diagnostic tools, primarily serving the vehicle service industry

  • Process equipment, focused largely on food, beverage, dairy and other sanitary applications

Q: Are the cheap units found online genuine V30 units?

A: In a word, no! SPX and Autoboss are taking steps to prosecute and stop the copy/cloned units but there are still some about.

Reagrding the supposed European/UK versions coming from abroad, Chinese sellers do not have access to buy UK versions so some have been hacking chinese versions to put English language and Euro vehicles on to them, this appears to work until you update at which point they either lock up or revert to chinese version. We have a pile of useless units in the office that have been sent to us asking for help!
